Application Procedure

Certificate of Enrollment

Since 2017 the Amsterdam E Visa Unit grants Certificates of Enrollment (CoE’s) to approved E Visa companies which meet certain standards. This enrollment is based on the company’s investment in the US, history of US operations and proven ability to overcome marginality.

Enrollment will typically be for periods of 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years. Each company’s Certificate of Enrollment has a validity date. Until the end of this validity period, future applicants with the same company may apply for an E visa with a reduced application package. More importantly, E Visa applicants with a valid Certificate of Enrollment are also not required to submit documents prior to scheduling an appointment. They can bring the required documentation to the interview at the consulate. This will speed up the application procedure significantly.

The company may or may not be granted a Certificate of Enrollment after review of a complete application. This decision is entirely up to the Consulate. The first applicant after the expiration date of the Certificate of Enrollment must submit a complete E visa application again, including ownership documents. The company may or may not be granted a new Certificate of Enrollment after review of a new, complete application.

VisaVersa works with many companies with and without a Certificate of Enrollment. From individual investors to large multinationals, for all these companies we have many years of experience with applying for E visas.
